I was first inspired to paint tulips when I lived in a house that had a garden on a hilly slope with a large rock face. In the spring some beautiful yellow tulips bloomed and cast a shadow on the rock. I did that first painting and have been inspired to paint many more lovely tulips since. |

 White Daisies |
I was first inspired to paint daisies that I saw in the Kootenays near the Kokanee Springs Golf Course. They were growing wildly out of gravel. I painted them boldly on the left and then did them again as if in a dream growing from rocks in the water. Several years later my "Daisy Dream" painting actually came to life, when daisies seeded themselves at waters edge at our Naramata cottage. One year the lake flooded and the daisies were actually growing up from the rocks in the water. |
